ELF Mineral E/S Primer vs UDPP

ELF: $3 for .15 oz
UDPP: $17 for .34 oz

Both the ELF primer and UDPP are the same color and apply totally sheer. ELF's MP is almost watery while UDPP is thicker but performance is about the same. I've had days where ELF's MP creased before UDPP, and days where UDPP creased before ELF's MP. For both products they usually don't crease until 9-10 hours after application.

Due to the price difference, and the fact that eventually you have to cut open Urban Decay's Primer Potion to get the rest of the product out, I'd buy the ELF primer over UDPP any day.

Check out my post on L'Oreal De Crease vs UDPP.

WOW, great comparison! Thanks for taking the time to do that. Before I read the article, I could have sworn the eye on the right was the UDPP since the colors seem a little more vibrant. I was quite surprised that the ELF primer was actually on that eye!

UDPP packaging just kills me, and Too Faced Shadow Insurance works just as well on my oily lids--but for $3, I'm going to switch to ELF! Thank you again. :)

thank you! once my udpp runs out, am so gonna get this!

btw, just wondering, is ur lids oily? cuz um, only UDPP and TFSI can withstand my oily lids and not letting my e/s crease and fade.

Thanks ya!

Wow! Thank you so much for this!
I was thinking about getting the UDP, but since it's not avalible here (even ELF it's not, but I can buy it via UK for a higher price, tho it's still cheap), and since both work the same...

YAY!

Love this look. I tried pairing the green with yellow once, totally needed some more practice.

I send you a "lemonade stand" from my blog :-)

Wow, if not for your pictures, i wouldn't even believe this.. I did hear people talk about they tried the elf primer, but it balled up.. I have oily lids, and UDPP only withstood 5-6 hours on me. But since it's cheap, I think it's worth a try. Thanks for the review!! :)

thank you for doing this comparison. unfortunately i have very oily lids and doubt this will work. after i'm done putting e/s on one eye and start applying on the other, it has already creased. yeah, that's how oily! is this stuff available in stores coz if it is might as well give it a try.

Brilliant! I have been trying to make myself buy the Urban Decay primer for ages but something always held me back. Now I know why! Buying ELF now....thanks for the experiment.
